二人の“魔法使い”の名は、イスラエル出身のピアニスト/作曲家ヤキール・アルビブ（Yakir Arbib）と、カメルーン出身のドラマー/パーカッショニスト/作曲家コンティ・ビロング（Conti Bilong）。 アルバムのタイトルのとおり、二人のルーツである中東と中央アフリカの伝統的なリズムや旋法を基調とし、J.S.バッハ（Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685 - 1750）に代表されるバロック様式の対位法やジャズのダイナミックな即興が高度に融合した、複雑なのに親しみやすく、伝統の上に成り立っているのに斬新な演奏が繰り広げられる。

ウクライナのドンバス2に縁のある8人の女性によるグループ、ドーターズ・オブ・ドンバス（Daughters of Donbas）による『Songs of Stolen Children』は、ウクライナで現実に起こっている惨状を広く国際社会に訴えるアルバムだ。ウクライナの人権団体によると、ロシア・ウクライナ戦争が始まって以来、生後4ヶ月から17歳までの約2万人の子供たちがロシア領に強制的に連れ去られ、その多くが軍事キャンプに連れて行かれたという。

ショーロに特化したブラジルの名ピアニスト、エルクレス・ゴメス（Hércules Gomes）のアルバム『Bremen Solo』は、ドイツの歴史あるコンサートホール、ゼンデザール・ブレーメン（Sendesaal Bremen）で行われたソロライヴを録音した作品。収録の16曲はすべてエルクレス・ゴメス作曲のオリジナルとなっており、稀代のショーロ・ピアニストの魅力が余すところなく発揮された絶品だ。

The Competition weekend will take place October 10–11, 2026, in the Fondation’s Auditorium, housed within the iconic architectural masterpiece designed by Frank Gehry.
